Your main weapon dictates what Sword Master's various abilities do. Every weapon has four effects:

Assessment

Glorybringer is a powerful class capable of high damage due to its many sources of Bonus Damage, as well as utility via various Awakening abilities. Its main barrier is obtaining a powerful mainhand, but fortunately its Class Champion Weapon Ridill is a worthy contender in all elements. Compared to its predecessor Sword Master, Glorybringer has a much easier time maintaining EnergizedWeapon skills are expanded from Awakening Blade. These skills can be uses from Resonating Blade skill or DEF effects for ATK and DMG cuts.
and enjoys a broader subskill selection that allows it to make the most of its abilities.

Notable Main Weapons

Glorybringer can work in any element, so long as you have an appropriate sword or katana in that element with skills that suit your needs. There are many good main weapons available for Swordmaster/Glorybringer.

The following list contains weapons with particularly unusual effects, such as affecting all parties in the raid, imitating another class's main skill, or that their weapon skills work best with this class.

Other katanas or sabres can still be powerful choices for your team - check the full SSR list for all your options.

  • Class Champion Weapon
    • Ridill - A strong choice in all elements, Ridill buffs the party with Dragon EnergyATK is boosted / DEF is boosted / Double attack rate is boosted / Triple attack rate is boosted

      • Paragon's Devilry - Strong defensive option for the party if you have elemental superiority. The most useful choice in most situations.

    • Excalibur 🛑🛑This weapon requires many Gold Moons to acquire, and will realistically involve the use of several Damascus Ingots to uncap to its full potential. Think very carefully before making the heavy commitment to acquiring this weapon! - All parties are healed on awakening, and the MC has 50% Damage CutLike Phalanx on defend.
    • Fudo-Kuniyuki ⚠️⚠️This weapon is acquired from the Premium Draw. It will require the use of duplicate copies or Damascus Ingots to uncap to its full potential. It may be difficult to get this weapon in the first place, and will be expensive to bring to its full power. Consider whether you can use a farmable replacement instead. - Can steal a buff from the enemy with the resonance effect.
    • True Phantom Demon Blade - Significantly easier to keep the "Undersky's Hatebonds" passive in operation whilst wielding the katana as a Swordmaster/Glorybringer. The resonance effect will fill the charge bar, leading to gain of Mirror Image (2 times)Next one-to-one attack received will be ineffective

What is very unusual is that its defend effect of Dodge-And-Counter costs no energy at all, removing the need for  ColmillosGain ColmillosATK is boosted / Double attack rate is boosted / Slight chance to boost DMG for critical hits / Sword energy effects don't activate upon taking DMG (Can't be removed)
