Plain damage is non-elemental damage that ignores defense. Its damage pop-up appears in a plain white color. It is useful against enemies with very high defense. It is sometimes called true damage, white damage, or non-attribute damage by the international GBF community, but these are unofficial terms.

Bandit Tycoon

The Bandit Tycoon's extended mastery skill  Rupie FlipPlain damage to one enemy. deals 1000, 3000, or 10000 plain damage depending on the amount of rupies chose to be spent.

Mechanic

The Mechanic's skill  Customized ActionEffects change based on what Action Parts are equipped. deals 200% × Power CellsCells that power your companion.
Will be used up every turn while companion is active.
Companion will shut down when none are left.

Plain damage vs. Shield effects

  • Plain damage generally ignores ShieldNext ATK received will be ineffective for a fixed amount
    effects, but there are some exceptions
  • Turn-based plain damage from effects such as PoisonedHP is lowered on every turn
    and BurnedHP is lowered on every turn
    are absorbed by Shield effects.
