The September 2019 iteration of Proving Grounds features Fire enemies.

For new players

Proving Grounds is geared towards advanced players, but has significant rewards that even relatively new players can obtain.
Obtain the SR/SSR Tickets and Proving Grounds SSR Ticket
- Save SR/SSR Tickets for Premium Gala or Flash Gala banners, or banners with seasonal characters. This ticket is not affected by rate ups and does not provide Cerulean Sparks, but it can draw anything from the current Draw banner.
- Proving Grounds SSR Ticket can be used immediately. This ticket has a static draw pool regardless of when it is used.

Notable Rewards

Unknown: One 4★ uncapped Ushumgal is practical for most Fire grids. It is also a notable weapon option for Gladiator/Chrysaor. Two or three 4★ Ushumgal are used in specialized 1-turn burst setups utilizing skill damage. Farming for one 4★ copy is recommended with up to two extra copies being optional.

Changes from the Previous Event

Summons' thumbnail images in the rankings will now correspond to their uncap state.
When forming a sortie party, you can now load another party from sortie parties in addition to normal parties.
The number of potions will be reset at the start of each battle in a sortie.
The requirements to earn the following trophies have been adjusted.
- Oiled-Up Mr. Universe
Changed to clear the sortie Red Trooper 30 times in Proving Grounds instead of 50 times.
- If I'm a Musclebrain, I'm a Genius
Changed to clear the sortie Red Trooper 50 times in Proving Grounds instead of 100 times.
- For players who have already satisfied these new requirements in the past Proving Grounds but have not earned the trophies, clearing the sortie once will earn you the trophies.

Sortie Completion Loot

Completing a sortie rewards a red chest with an assortment of random loot. Drop rates and available contents are affected by the difficulty completed. Loot that can be obtained from a lower difficulty can also be obtained in higher difficulties.
