Matthew 11:13: "prophesied untill John" - No prophesies after John the Baptist?

For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John (KJV, Matthew 11:13) It looks like the phrase "until John" marks a special watermark here as if either there would be no more prophesies after John or at least their nature would be different…
