What is the sense of περἰ in Romans 8:3?
Romans 8:3 says the following
καἰ περἰ ἁμαρτἰας (and for sin)
Many translations suggest as an offering for sin as an alternate translation. I can see how περί can mean in place of, but is as an offering for a common translation of περἰ?

Has the meaning of "Love" changed enough to warrant substitutions in Bible translations?
The culturally accepted uses of the word "Love" seem to be a trite shadow of its biblical meaning. Common use of "Love" is now interchangeable with "Like," "Enjoy," or "Emotionally attachment" of something. That is very different from what the…

Was Deborah considered a sub-optimal leader?
I've sometimes heard that Deborah was allowed to be a leader of Israel only because no man stepped up to the responsibility. However, when she is introduced there is no indication of that:
Deborah, wife of Lappidoth, was a prophetess; she led…

In In Matthew 6:9, the Greek it literally says:

Is Jesus saying that we should pray like that and only like that? Initially I would think not as Matthew records Jesus praying in many other…

In Genesis 24:2 why did Abraham have his servant make his oath under his "thigh"?
There is an old question on Christianity.SE which I suggested that it should also be asked here - since we don't migrate OLD questions. In doing so, I noticed that the OP hasn't been really active and I suspect that it will never be asked here. …
