Vira=Granblue Fantasy Theater
Current lord of Albion Citadel, Vira was raised in the fortress city alongside Katalina, who she considers to be her sister. She's a little obsessed with her, actually, claiming that her razor-sharp decision-making skills and swordsmanship are all ultimately to be used on Katalina's behalf. A Faithful Knight's Departure[edit]
Freed from her obligations, Vira follows Katalina onto the airship and declares that she will travel with the crew to stay close to her. Vira reaches an understanding with most of the crew, but she burns with jealousy towards Vyrn, the subject of Katalina's affections.
One fine, sunny day, (Captain) and company are preparing to head to the next archipelago.
Lyria: Katalina, the food's all stowed away and ready to go!
Katalina: Great! So are we all set, everyone?
Vira: Oh dear, this won't do. Katalina, there's something on your clothes. Let me wipe you off.
Katalina: Oops! Thank you.
Vira: There! Good as new! And have I mentioned how delightfully lustrous your hair looks today?
Katalina: How kind of you! But it's nothing special, if you ask me... Wait...
Katalina: Vira! What are you doing here?
Vira: Need you even ask? Now that I've been freed from Luminiera, I can go anywhere I please.
Vira: During my many long years as Lord Commander, all I could do was yearn... But now nothing stands in my way.
Vira: And the only place in all the sky for me is right here by your side.
Vyrn: Whoa there. Are you saying you're gonna come with us on our journey?
Vira: If Katalina's going to continue on this journey, then, yes, that is my intention. You don't mind, do you, (Captain)?
Choose: Welcome aboard!
Vira: How kind of you to be so very understanding.
Vira: I would expect no less from the captain of my dear Katalina's crew.
Choose: ...
Vira: I see that you hesitate, but you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Vira: As a member of Katalina's crew, I would never do anything to sully your good name.
Continue 1Vira: I know I'm new to this sort of work, but I'll do everything I can to assist you.
Lyria: Don't be silly! We know how strong you are, and I'm sure you'll be a big help! Welcome aboard!
Vira: How sweet of you, Lyria. I like it when others get the message quickly.
Vyrn: Yikes... I mean, assertive girls are fine and all, but yeesh.
Vira: As for this lizard... Perhaps I ought to teach it a lesson or two?
Vyrn: Eek!
Katalina: Vira, no! Don't say such things to my sweet little Vyrn...
Vira: ...
Vira: Oh... Yes, you're right. I ought to respect and cherish my new traveling companions... I apologize, Vyrn.
Vyrn: Eh, no big deal! Anyways, welcome aboard! Now then, let's get going!
And so, with the addition of Vira to the crew, the Grandcypher lifts off once more.
Vyrn: Huh? That's weird... Have you seen her anywhere, (Captain)?
Lyria: What's the matter? Looking for someone?
Vyrn: Well... Vira's supposed to be on board, but I can't find her anywhere.
Lyria: Ha-ha... If it's Vira you're looking for, she's over there...
Vira: Bad girl, Vira. Calm yourself.
Vira: No matter how insignificant that lizard seems, Katalina favors him.
Vira: I must hold back... Regardless of how lowly and puerile he is, she would mourn his loss.
Vira: She favors him, so I must leave him be. I mustn't do anything that could distress her...
Vira: Must... hold... back...
Vyrn: ...
Vyrn: I, uh... I trust you, (Captain)! You wouldn't let her do anything to me, right?
The Grandcypher continues to glide through the sky, carrying (Captain)'s crew and just enough uncertainty to make things interesting.
A Strange Secret[edit]
At Vira's request, the crew decides to go to a bakery deep in a certain forest. Vira wants to surprise Katalina, who apparently has a sweet tooth. The crew's also excited to reward Katalina for her hard work.
Lyria: Um... What Katalina likes?
Vira: That's right. Do you know?
Lyria: Hm... I don't know what Katalina likes to eat, but I do love eating her cooking!
Vira: Hehe... Oh, Lyria, your mind is as unique as your palate.
Lyria: Huh? Um... Thank you so much!
Vyrn: That wasn't a compliment...
At Vira's request, (Captain) and company stop by a forest in an archipelago.
Well out of Katalina's earshot, Vira begins to whisper to the others.
Vira: In a village deep in this forest, there's a bakery that sells the absolute best baked sweets.
Vira: Katalina would never admit it, but she has a big sweet tooth.
Vira: So I'd like to surprise her with some of that bakery's finest offerings.
Vyrn: Seriously? You come to a forest infested with who-knows-what for some cake?
Vira: ...
Vira: Well, if you'd prefer, I considered fried talking lizard for her as well...
Vyrn: Okay, I get it! Let's go get those baked sweets! C'mon, (Captain)!
Lyria: This is a great chance to give a little something back to Katalina!
Vira: It's all decided then. Let's make sure Katalina doesn't figure out what we're up to.
A Strange Secret: Scene 2[edit]
On the way to the bakery, Vira states that she knows everything about Katalina. Vira passionately describes how she delights in basically stalking Katalina, secretly observing her from the shadows.
Lyria: I had no idea Katalina likes sweets.
Vira: I should think not. She's big on her image and keeps it secret.
Vyrn: Then how do you know about it, Vira?
Vira: Silly lizard. There's nothing I don't know about my dear Katalina.
Vira: When I was in Albion, come rain or shine, day or night...
Vira: I always watched her no matter where she was or what she was doing.
Vyrn: Uh... Was Katalina aware of that?
Vira: Of course not! How else could I have seen the real Katalina?
Vira: Seeing her as she was in private... For me, there could be no greater joy.
Vyrn: I'm starting to get worried for Katalina...
Vira: Let's hurry back to the village. I'm eager to see Katalina's smiling face!
Vira: I wonder whether it will be as adorable as the one she makes when she thinks she's alone.
A Strange Secret: Scene 3[edit]
When asked why she's so fixated on Katalina, Vira says it's a secret. While Vira daydreams about Katalina, monsters suddenly attack, but (Captain) saves her just in time.
Vira: I see the village ahead. We're almost there.
Vyrn: Say, Vira. Why are you so fixated on Katalina anyway?
Vira: Because she's beautiful. Is that so wrong?
Vyrn: No, but...
Vira: Of course there are other reasons as well. So many reasons. Secret reasons...
Vira: The moment I swore I would become Katalina's forever, we—
Vyrn: Hey! Snap out of it! We've got company!
Vira: ...!
Monster: Graaaagh...
Vira: Oh...
Vyrn: Nice one, (Captain)! But don't forget the rest of 'em!
A Strange Secret: Scene 4[edit]
The crew fulfills its objective. Vira thanks (Captain) for saving her and talks about when she first met Katalina. Vira's obsession with Katalina weakens somewhat, but she now seems to target (Captain) as well.
Katalina: Thank you, everyone. So this is why you were acting so sneaky.
Katalina: But I don't think I've ever told anyone how much I like sweets...
Vyrn: Don't worry about it!
Lyria: That's right! We're just glad to see you so happy.
Vira sneaks away from the excited Lyria and the others to have a word with (Captain).
Vira: (Captain), thank you so much for saving me earlier.
Vira: I hope you can forgive me for not saying anything sooner. I'm not sure where my head was...
Vira: When you saved me, I saw you as Katalina for just a moment.
Vira: You see, when I first arrived in Albion, Katalina saved me from a wandering monster...
Gran is the Main Character
Vira: Ha-ha. I used to think all men were the same.
Vira: But if there are men like you out there, I guess I have a bit of soul-searching to do.
Vira: Or perhaps you're the only one who's truly special?
Djeeta is the Main Character
Vira: Ha-ha. By the way, (Captain). Do you have any sisters?
Vira: Katalina's the closest thing I have to a sister, but she's older than me. I've always wanted a younger sister too.
Vira: For example... An adorable sister like you, (Captain).
Vira punctuates her words with a big smile at (Captain).
With a new distraction making itself known, Vira's obsession with Katalina weakens just a little.
Crucial Culinary Battle[edit]
Lowain and Vira engage in a culinary showdown, at the end of which Lowain fears for his life as she draws her sword. Fortunately Katalina is there to save the day.
Lowain: Whoo! This has gotta be it... My time's finally come!
Tomoi: Word? What's the deal, bro? You're lookin' pretty turnt!
Elsam: Wahey! What's the haps? How 'bout you give us the skinny on what's goin' down!
Lowain, Elsam, and Tomoi are on the Grandcypher with their eyes glued to a letter.
Lowain: Whatcha think? I mean, look at it. It's gotta be a love letter, right?
Tomoi: No way! I. Can't. Even! From one of the G. Cyph peeps? Not in a million years!
Elsam: Totally! The dudes and dudettes on the crew have other things goin' on, you know?
Lowain: Ahaha! That's how it goes—a pretty young thing sees me and falls head over heels in love!
The letter Lowain holds is an invitation just for him. An invitation to the back of the bridge.
The sender had written her name in a tiny script, a sender by the name of Vira Lilie.
Lowain: So ya see? There's no mistakin' it! My time's come!
Tomoi: Noooo, no, no, no, no! Seriously? I can't even believe it's Vira...
Elsam: Way to go, dude! Guess even a broken clock's gotta get its chance once in a while! Right, Lowain?
Lowain: Aw man! I already got my eyes on a saucy little number called Katalina, but y'know...
Lowain: Oh, what the hell am I sayin'? I gotta get going!
Lowain: All right now! S'time she got a look at a real man!
And so, puffed up ten times his size, Lowain struts to the bridge.
Vira: ...
Lowain: Wahey! Sorry for the wait, Vira!
Lowain: I just wanna say... I know it is what it is, but I've already set my sights on a lady—
Vira: Haaah!
Lowain: Wha?
Vira: Tsk... missed. Focus, Vira...
Vira: Grr... I'll get it this time!
Lowain: Ulp! Dude! What's the deal?
Vira: What? Do I have to spell it out for you?
Lowain: Hold up. I'm really not diggin' what you're puttin' down...
Vira: Hehe... what? Do you have to give the garbage a little pep talk before you throw it out?
Lowain: Hey! Garbage? Don't tell me...
Vira: Silence... I won't tolerate the buzzing of insects when my moment is so close at hand...
Lowain: Huff... Huff... Seriously? Tell me what's goin' down, will ya? You angry or somethin'?
Vira: Don't be stupid... You spend all your time fawning over my dear Katalina!
Vira: But she's mine, you understand? You're just a bit of a blip that needs correcting...
Lowain: Aw, c'mon... Say what you want, but what I feel for Katalina is the real deal. Holy... Gah!
Vira: She's mine... Mine, you hear...
Lowain: (Aw, crap... She's gonna kill me for real. What do I do?)
Vira: Snkt... heehee... relax. Soon you'll be nothing but the foggiest of memories...
Vira: Haha... it will all be over in a second... Just you wait...
Lowain: All right now! I think I got it! This is some kind of showdown, right?!
Vira: Er... what?
Lowain: You mind? I'm top dog when it comes to the kitchen! I'm here to win, baby! I gotta say sorry.
Lowain: What I'm saying is once Katalina gets a taste of my dish, she's never gonna want another bite of anything else!
Vira: ...
Lowain: Lemme spell it out for you... I fight with a spatula, not a sword. You'd better bring it!
The next day, Vyrn, Lyria, and (Captain) find themselves in a tavern.
Lyria: My heart's beating like crazy... I've never judged a cooking contest before...
Vyrn: Sigh... I mean, a cooking contest between Vira and Lowain? Sounds like a big pain in the butt...
Vyrn: And I'm so hungry I could eat Katalina's cooking... When're they going to finish...
Vyrn: Eh? What's that smell...
Lyria: Huh? Vyrn? Where are you going?
Lowain: Wahey! The soup is hot, hot, hot! And I mean hot!
Lowain: Pfft! Hahahaha! Looks like we already got ourselves a winner. And that winner is me...
Lowain: Oh? That smells super tasty...
Lowain: No way, Vira... You're great shakes with a sword and a spatula?
Vira: Heehee... I suppose insects aren't known for their philosophical inclinations...
Vira: This is all for Katalina... There's nothing I wouldn't do for her...
Vira: Hehe... And I'll have to figure out how to cook them up once this battle is over...
Vyrn: Whew... I'm stuffed...
Lyria: Oh! Where did you get off to, Vyrn? You should have stayed... the food is on its way...
Vyrn: Oh, er... it was nothing! Nothing at all! Urp.
Both Vira and Lowain finish making their dishes. The time for judging has come.
Lyria: Wow! Oh my gosh! They're both so good!
Lyria: Munch, munch... I don't think I could ever get enough of either of them!
Vyrn: ...
Lowain: What'chu think? Go ahead, Vyrn. Eat up! There's plenty to go around!
Vyrn: Nah... To tell you the truth, I'm kinda full...
Vyrn: I, uh... I was starving, you know. So I had a few apples...
Vira: Huh?
Vyrn: I mean, they were just sitting there, all shiny and tasty... and I got the okay from the staff. Guess I'm not cut out for judging...
Vira: Gah... We should've never asked a lizard to judge...
Vira: Lyria. Surely I can count on your vote. Can't I?
Lyria: Wha? Oh... Well, um... Hrm...
Lyria: Uh... Ahem... you see...
Lyria: I can't! I just can't decide! They're both just so good...
Lowain: Wahey! What's that mean? You're the last one standing, (Captain). Whaddaya say?
Vira: It would seem so... Well, (Captain). Which dish was better?
The air is thick with tension as the verdict is announced.

Vira: Thank you, (Captain).
Vira: Hehe... I thought that (Captain) surely would have chosen my dish.
Choose: Lowain.
Lowain: Yeehaw! (Captain)! You're the real deal! I knew you'd be down with me!
Vira: ...
Lowain: Awesome! Lemme hear it, Vira! Tell me how awesome I am...
Vira: (Captain). To tell you the truth, I'd polished my sword to a mirror sheen just the other day.
Vira: But as luck would have it, I haven't had the chance to engage in battle since then.
Vira: Hehe... I've searched high and low for the perfect target to use my sword on...
Vira: Oh? My apologies. That doesn't have much to do with anything, does it... Well, then...
Vira: Tell us, (Captain)... Whose dish is worthy of the title?

Lowain: Whew, leave it to our resident goddess to bail me out of a tight spot...
Katalina: What's wrong? You're looking pretty blue...
Katalina: Hehe... You'll feel better with a little something to eat. I hope you're ready for the Katalina special!
Katalina's sudden appearance helps to avert disaster that day.
But an even greater one awaits them back on the Grandcypher.
(Captain) and company pray in hope that they never have to eat another bite of Katalina's cooking.
