For new players

Complete each chapter, quest, and raid boss; each awards Crystal ×50 on first-time completion.
Purchase the 20× Half-Elixirs; they provide much more AP than is needed to farm them.
Purchase the 50× Soul Berries.
Purchase the Premium 10-Part Ticket, then all three Premium Draw Tickets from the event shop.

Damascus Crystals are a good long-term investment given their scarcity outside of events. Obtaining all three is recommended if AP/Elixir consumption is not a concern.
Earn trophies for additional Crystals.
Complete the daily mission every day when it's available.

Notable Rewards

Unknown has an EX big boost to Dark ATK weapon skill. The weapon itself is decent filler, but powerful due to 4★ potential and its second skill which increases Critical rate against foes in Overdrive. The weapon is helpful for beginners due to the fact that there aren't many easily farm-able and accessible Dark guns, other than Celeste Rifle. However, Gunslinger doesn't benefit a lot from this weapon due to its awful 5× Parabellum Bullets magazine. Obtaining it is a priority if you don't have any good mainhand Dark guns or Dark EX weapons.
Unknown has little longevity as a main summon since its Aura only boosts Normal Dark ATK. However, its summon call heals all allies which can be very helpful for newer players. Obtaining a 4★ copy can be useful for the increased healing on its call, but it is not necessary in the long run. Note that its call has a hidden effect if Joker is in the front line. If you can only obtain enough materials to uncap one item from this event to 4★, it is recommended to invest in Unknown first.
Unknown is used to uncap Unknown and Unknown to 4★. It has no other use. It is only obtainable during this event.

Trivia

According to the opening cutscene, this event takes place after the conclusion of Madarame's Palace in Persona 5's game timeline.
In Granblue, this event takes place between Chapter 4 Story: The Storm Guardian and Chapter 5 Story: Island of Lanterns .
Dominion Black Dragon resembles Proto Bahamut's design, but in the shape of Vyrn.
Jack Frost is the official mascot of Atlus. Because of this, he makes recurring appearances in a number of Atlus games (primarily in the Shin Megami Tensei series.)
All of the BGM featured in the event are taken from the Persona 5 soundtrack, composed by Shoji Meguro, with vocals by Lyn on some tracks. The list includes:
