The Central District of Sari County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان ساری) is in Mazandaran province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Sari.[3]

History

After the 2006 National Census, Rudpey-ye Jonubi and Rudpey-ye Shomali Rural Districts were separated from the district in the formation of Rudpey District.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the district's population was 395,716 in 107,378 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 408,850 people in 123,604 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the Central District as 429,620 inhabitants in 140,492 households.[2]
