Central Dir District is a district in the Malakand Division of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan. On 23 January 2022, the Provincial Government carved out a new district Central Dir from the Upper Dir district territory. The area is largely composed of Malizai clan of Yousafzai.

The district consists of five tehsils, namely Akhagram Karo, Larjum, Nehag Dara, Sahib Abad and Wari Tehsil.[2][3]

Larjum and Wari are old tehsils, while Akhagram Karo, Nehag Dara and Sahib Abad were created along with the new district.
