The Central District of Osku County (Persian: بخش مرکزی شهرستان اسکو) is in East Azerbaijan province, Iran. Its capital is the city of Osku.[3]

History

The village of Sahand was elevated to the status of a city in 2008.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 census, the district's population was 56,253 in 15,908 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 69,116 people in 21,041 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the district as 127,452 inhabitants in 40,586 households.[2]
