Why are pixels square?
Pixels in screens are square, but I'm not sure why.
Both pixelated images look pretty bad - but I'm not sure there's any advantage of squares over hexagons here.
Hexagons also divide up into 3 colours nicely:
So what's the advantage of squares…

Does 1 pixel have a standard size?
I'm confused about the term "pixels per inch"
iPhone 6 has 326 ppi
there's 25.4 millimeter in 1 inch which I can barely see... how much more of 326 pixels inside 1 inch....
So does Pixel have a standard size?

Average PPI used?
Throughout all laptops and desktops what is the standard pixels per inch (PPI) used? Does it vary throughout screen ratio? I found mine to be 100ppi, the real world measurement was 4 pixels more.
