Played DND in HS in the early 90s, took a break in the late 90s, and finally found a group to get back into it with in 2021. I'd consider myself an intermediate experience. I'm not as familiar with most rules to be able to rattle them off the top of my head, but I'm great at looking up the rules related to the questions I have. I make a lot of mistakes (we all do) but I'm good at admitting when I'm wrong and not making the same mistake twice. I think story trumps rules and even if the rules say your character should be able to do or have something, you'd better have a good story for why your character would do of have that thing. I will also do things with my characters that I know won't work because my character needs the experience to figure out how they WOULD work.
