I started playing D&D with a basic set in 1978, and DMing shortly thereafter. I took a hiatus as I concentrated on my career in the mid-90's, and ended up skipping all of 3E, 3.5E, Pathfinder and 4E. My adult children and their friends approached me about running a game for them after they had watched an episode of Critical Role (r) on Twitch TV (r), and I reluctantly dove back into the D&D world with 5E... and haven't looked back since.

Dragons do so love when dinner delivers itself.
