Xeno Sagittarius Clash is a clash event that rewards items used to trade for the Xeno Conviction Flashspear and Arkab weapons.

It is an expansion of Sagittarius Showdown and the associated battles are also available during the event.

For new players

This event is fairly difficult for new players, with Xeno content being harder than the basic Showdown and extremely punishing to players without Fire teams.

  • The normal Sagittarius Showdown is also available, however, which can be used to gather most of the basic trade-in treasure for items from the Xeno event shop. Note that the inventory and material costs of the Xeno shop are separate from that of the normal Sagittarius Showdown shop
  • If nothing else, purchase the 20× Half-Elixirs; they provide much more AP than is needed to farm them.

Notable Rewards

  • Buy Half Elixir ×20 from the event shop. The trade-in items needed for this can also be obtained from the Sagittarius Showdown battles.
  • Xeno Conviction Flashspear - one of the more niche Xeno weapons, as its upgraded form, the True Conviction Flashspear, allows the MC to deal significantly more damage as long as they avoid being hit - thus some sort of Substitute or hostility redirection is needed for best results. The Xeno Conviction Flashspear works especially well with Apsaras using  Dance of ZealGain DevotionThe ally with the highest remaining HP takes one-ally attacks in your place

  • Arkab works as a teamwide charge bar acceleration weapon for fist classes, especially after its upgrade into Arkab Prior. Arkab Prior gives guaranteed TA from four or more charge attacks in the same turn, as well as a teamwide charge bar boost. With Luchador and  Tag TeamAll allies attack without using up a turn., this can be immediately turned into two teamwide triple attacks in a row. The charge bar gain from these triple attacks will get the team close to another full charge burst, which will cause more triple attacks, leading into a virtuous cycle. The cooldown cut on CA will help ready  Tag TeamAll allies attack without using up a turn. quicker too.
  • The following materials are required to purchase from the shop and forge a Xeno weapon into its true form. Fewer materials will be required if a weapon is obtained via drops:
  • Sagittarius Bow - HP boosting weapon for Zephyrus-based grids. May see use to meet HP thresholds in late game.
  • Xeno Sagittarius - Powerful Elemental ATK boosting aura if you can meet the weapon equip requirements, and comes with a good Wind ATK boost on call as well. Be sure to get the 4★ uncap materials before the event ends as well as the copies.
  • Sagittarius - An acceptable low-level Wind summon with a weak aura. Many will drop through grinding the event and advanced players will probably see more benefit from purchasing a single cheap copy and reducing it for quartz.

About Clashes

Clashes and Showdowns

  • Play Xeno Sagittarius Clash and Sagittarius Showdown at the same time!
Clash battles are harder than showdowns. When you are able to clear extreme- or maniac-difficulty showdowns you should be able to take on Xeno Sagittarius (Note that Xeno Sagittarius's resistance to elements other than Fire is notably high, meaning this statement is more of a guideline than hard truth).

Difficulty Settings

  • Xeno Sagittarius maniac-difficulty will unlock after clearing extreme-difficulty. Nightmare battles will appear at random after beating extreme or maniac battles.
  • There are three levels of nightmare battles. Defeat the lower-level nightmare bosses to unlock the next one. Play to get treasure for the new event weapons!

Nightmare Battles

  • Nightmare-difficulty quests will always appear after clearing a maniac-difficulty quest. They will also appear after clearing four consecutive extreme-difficulty quests if one has not already appeared by the third time.
  • Hosting or joining raid battles won't trigger a nightmare battle.
  • Only one nightmare-difficulty quest will appear at a time.

Elemental Resistance

  • Xeno Sagittarius now has 50% damage resistance to all elements except for Fire.

Xeno Weapons

  • You can get Xeno weapons from this event.
  • Xeno weapons can either be forged into their True Xeno forms at the shop, or they can be fully uncapped on the Upgrade screen. Exclusive treasure from this event is needed to forge the xeno weapons.
  • A fully-uncapped xeno weapon can't be forged into its True Xeno form.
    • This refers to the 4★ uncapNot to be confused with Forge, which is not done through the uncap menu but the shop. of the weapon, that is no longer available as of 2018-03-16.
    • Weapons already at 4★ were left unaffected.

Farming efficiently

General consensus says Wind grids only need 1× True Conviction Flashspear.
With average luck, there's a decent chance of a drop while farming 3 copies from the shop.
If unlucky, focus on maximizing the number of Zodiac Arc and True Xeno Sagittarius Anima received.

Priorities:

  1. Do the both daily maniacs (Xeno and Old Sagittarius).
  2. Do the highest Nightmare possible to maximize Arc drops.
  3. Host the raid once you have over 40× Horseman's Plate

How to maximize weapon drops

  • Run Extreme + Nightmare 70 with Kaguya and Host+MVP raids.
  • Raid red chest can drop a xeno weapon. It's ~1.5% in the Host chest and ~0.5% in the MVP chest.
  • The increased drop rate from NM120 is cancelled out by being able to bring Kaguya to NM70. It takes about 2.8 Extreme clears to trigger one NM.
  • While Extreme can drop a Spear, it is very rare. However, the wiki staff does not have enough data on the Extreme drop rate to give a percentage. Estimated cost per spear is 2000 AP from raid and 2500-3000 AP from Extreme+NM70. Note that Drop Rate Boosts are very important for Extreme+NM70.

Strategy

Sagittarius does a lot of damage, but does not multiattack. He gains a LOT of defense from Troposphere, and Astra Horizon deals huge damage and also neuters your charge bars, so you really just want him to not use his Charge Attack at all. Bring a fire Dark Fencer with Rain of Arrows III to gain the time necessary. Pace the first 50% well, so that you push him below 50% on the same turn that he would fill up all his charge diamonds. This means sandbagging Gravity to help waste his 50% trigger. Between Gravity and Stall, you should have 2 turns to either Break him or push him below 25% to waste that trigger as well. Finish Breaking him as necessary, then take it home.

Etymology

Sagittarius, half human and half horse, is the centaur of mythology, the learned healer whose higher intelligence forms a bridge between Earth and Heaven. Also known as the Archer, Sagittarius is represented by the symbol of a bow and arrow.
