  • The King of early game; trivializes early game grinding and story quests.
  • Low shroud count and defense penalty with no shrouds makes him difficult to keep alive in prolonged battles.
  • A solid character choice for new players buying a Beginner's Draw Set.

Overview

Yodarha provides excellent burst damage through his charge attack in an element with a large focus on C.A. damage. He is known as the "King of Early-Game" due to his large C.A. damage relative to early-game players' damage output. Although his damage falls off for mid-game players and harder content, his burst damage regains value for higher-level players who want to quickly clear out weaker battles.

How to Play

Yodarha's play style varies depending on his purpose. For regular gameplay, he focuses on maintaining Triple Shrouded stacks and requires careful micromanagement for optimal play. In burst damage teams, he is easy to use: don't use any skills and let him rip through the enemy with his plain damage.

Regular Gameplay:

  • Paying attention to  Lost for WordsGain 3 Triple Shrouded1 is used for every ATK or skill (Restored after 4 turns)

    is vital. Triple Shrouded stacks are restored every 4 turns while each turn consumes a stack, so he will always go at least one turn with zero stacks even without using any skills. Using his C.A. will also consume any existing Triple Shrouded stacks, so plan accordingly.
  • Because his stats are halved and his Hostility is sharply boosted upon using up all Triple Shrouded stacks, he should be paired with someone who can attract Hostility to themselves and mitigate damage.

Synergy

Main Character

  • Mechanic: Mechanic and Energy Maneuver immediately gives 100% charge bar to all allies, making it effective for 1-turn burst team compositions.
  • Kengo: Kengo's 200% maximum charge bar combined with Yodarha's bonus plain damage provides a large amount of burst damage when used with 4 Bonito for a "Kengonito" team.
  • Chrysaor: Chrysaor's double C.A. allows it to mimic the aforementioned Kengonito setup. It also has some utility for longer-battle, non-burst teams.

Summons

  • Bonito (4): Bonito's 200% charge bar boost on call makes it the boon of 1-turn burst teams.
  • Huanglong (3): The 30% boost to charge bar at start of battle, on top of the 30% charge bar Crew Skill, makes it a strong contender as an alternative main/support summon to Bonito. Although Yodarha can't boost his own charge bar, other characters or classes that provide more Charge Boosts can make the whole party C.A. on turn 1. If it's not enough to finish the battle, Huanglong's call will instantly raise the party's charge bar to 100% for another round of C.A.s.
  • Xuanwu (4): An alternative main/support summon to Bonito or Huanglong.

Priorities[edit]

Yodarha's main purpose is for immediate burst damage, so take all C.A.-related nodes first. After that, Crit is a solid choice. For more general purpose use, taking 1★ in each DEF node may be helpful. Due to Status TripleShroud1.pngTriple Shrouded1 is used for every ATK or skill (Restored after 4 turns)
giving an 100% TA boost, taking DA is inadvisable.
