A Slice of Summer is a story event. A loyalty character joins you at the start, and progressing through the story unlocks quests and bosses.

This event is part of the annual Summer Vacation series. Listed in order of premiere:

For New Players

  • Complete each chapter, quest, and raid boss; each awards Crystal ×50 on first-time completion.
  • Complete the daily mission every day.
  • Fill the event character's loyalty bar to keep him permanently.
  • Purchase the 20× Half-Elixirs; they provide much more AP than is needed farm them.
  • Purchase the 50× Soul Berries.
  • Earn trophies for additional Crystals.

Notable Rewards

  • Damascus Crystals are a good long-term investment for creating Damascus Ingots to uncap SSR weapons. Obtaining all three is recommended if AP/Elixir consumption is not a concern.
  • Wood Sword is an Earth katana with a big boost to Normal ATK weapon skill. There are better options for a Normal ATK weapon in Earth grids such as Baihu Claw and Tribunal Thunder. Earth katanas are scarce outside of Premium Draw, so keeping one may be a futureproof option for viable katana-wielding classes.
  • Bamboo Spear is notable for being an Earth spear, which is somewhat hard to obtain outside of Premium Draw. Rose Crystal Lance is not obtainable until at least rank 101, so Bamboo Spear can be a decent provisional main weapon until then.
  • Wood Bow has nothing notable for battle and is best used as fodder.
