Gustav Ucicky

Gustav Ucicky (n. , Viena, Austro-Ungaria – d. , Hamburg, RFG)[7] a fost un regizor de film, scenarist și director de imagine austriac. A fost unul dintre cei mai de succes regizori din Austria și Germania din anii 1930 până la începutul anilor 1960.[8] Munca sa a acoperit o mare varietate de genuri, dar el este cel mai apreciat pentru filmele sale dramatice și romantice.[9]

Biografie

Născut la Viena, se spune adesea că Ucicky a fost fiul nelegitim al pictorului Gustav Klimt pentru care a lucrat și a pozat mama sa Marie Učická din Praga, cu toate că această paternitate este neconfirmată.[8] După ce a început o ucenicie ca designer grafic, a intrat în industria cinematografică la vârsta de 17 ani.
