Steve Amerige has most recently focused on deploying applications using Cloud Foundry/BOSH in a way that is easy, operations friendly, and based on best practices in code reuse. Whether coding in Java, Groovy, or doing ubiquitous Bash scripting, he has been involved at SAS in helping make code more manageable and evolvable, improving quality and reducing costs. Encouraged by SAS, Steve published the open source Eggsh (“egg shell”) scripting framework to help make everyday scripting more powerful.

Steve also founded Server Science, a company providing managed Linux services for software developers as well as businesses with a focus on showing how open source software can be an important part of every product’s development lifecycle.

Steve is also a Pembroke Welsh Corgi enthusiast and encourages others to be open to leaving Corgis undocked and adopting one into your family!
