Why is Wi-Fi (in general) so slow?
The theoretical maximum transfer speed of Wi-Fi is about 7 Gbps or 900 MB/s.
Apparently NVMe for example can do up to 16 GB/s. That's orders of magnitude faster than Wi-Fi.
Wi-Fi literally uses light as its medium though, which is pretty fast...
