I keep getting this error when starting R.

This site can’t be reached
The webpage at http://127.0.0.1:8854/ might be temporarily down or it may have moved permanently to a new web address.
ERR_INVALID_ARGUMENT

I have never had this issue before and now that is has started it won't stop. I keep restarting my computer with no luck.

  • R is a programming language, not an application, what exactly you try to open? How? Can you post some screenshots? – Máté Juhász Aug 09 '19 at 07:36

It seems you are trying to open Rstudio server, which is hosted on your local machine. It could be that you are accessing the incorrect port. However, if you are trying to just access R, a simpler version would be to just download and install it (maybe using R Studio):
