  • Started coding Fortran 77 in the 1980-ies, mostly for numerical stuff. Don't use the language anymore, but am still very fond of it.
  • Migrated to C/C++, implementing all sorts of Monte-Carlo-simulations. Currently relearning C to better understand the CPython implementation.
  • Short but intense dive into the EViews scripting language: Great, loved it, but unfortunately a too narrow focus.
  • Developed several VB(A) applications. Despite a high proficiency never really liked the language. But was always impressed with the depth of integration into the MS-Office ecosystem.
  • For over 20 years now enthusiastic Python user (started with 2.0). Love at first sight!
