I am a retired rocket scientist. Well, maybe that's a bit strecthing it. I was in the USAF and part of the launch teams that put payloads up in orbit from Vandenberg and Cape Canaveral. After I retired from the USAF, I worked as the SpaceHab test conductor on STS missions 57 and 60.
I eventually became the IT manager for a contract at the Cape. We introduced the daily desktop use of computers with Windows XP for the first time out there. I had a staff of about 40 technicians. It was fun. We laughed at Google. Oops.
I have dallied in website development since 1998 and have spent time learning php, MySQL, CSS and HTML. I do these things non-professionally, as a hobby of sorts. My main website, rocketranch.com has had all kinds of different looks over the years.
I have writen a book on Citizenship. I'd like to write another on early American History since the present generation has apparently screwed it all up. Maybe I will do it later this year.
As I round the corner into my seventh decade on this planet, I am still finding tons of things to do. I will eventually die but I will not die bored!
My latest project is building an online tutorial to help others build an apache web server on Vultr. It is challenging!
