Why Goldman Sachs
I chose
Goldman Sachs over
Deutsche Bank since the firm's core operations revolve around mergers & acquisitions,
while
Deutsche Bank's revolve around leverage finance. For now, I seek an off-cycle internship role in
Goldman Sachs's
Financing or
Global Markets division. After my off-cycle internship ends (six months total), I will work full-time as an analyst
in
Goldman Sachs's
M&A division.
I am aware the role of an investment banker is intense but, given my experience in
quantitative trading,
network security,
software engineering, and
applied mathematics, I believe I am well suited.
While analyzing charts is vital in investment banking, communicating with clients is equally as important. I will work my way up
from analyst to managing director at
Goldman Sachs to gain more insights into the role investment banking serves in
financial markets. My work experience from an analyst to managing director at
Goldman Sachs will assist me when handling
my future conglomerate's financial affairs and help me develop financial literacy to better deal with economic and financial crises;
with such literacy, I can better
secure my finances,
retain my economic mobility, and
increase my socio-economic
status.
