select box option hover issues

I already found a question with great answers here on stackoverflow. but there are many issue with it. i found a perfect select box hover on this page.

http://www.lendingclub.com/ if you will see on the right of page, you will see this is really amazing select box hover example. i am sure they are also using "li" for this purpose.

is there anyway to make a nice select box same like this?

also problem with example in previous question is when you hove on select box, contents bellow select box move to down and you cannot use two select box on same page. if you will use then this only select one.

but the problem is that if you place contents bellow select box, contents will slide down when hover on select box. – naeplus Mar 01 '12 at 20:08
