I'm working on a legacy app that has a crap-ton of code to manage U.S. states and territories. Basically it is mapping the abbreviations to the state names and timezone information. I am wondering if there is a gem out there that provides this behavior. Given the maturity of Rails I'm surprised that I wasn't able to find anything and I just wanted to check to see if anyone knows of anything out there.
If there isn't it sounds like a cool gem project for me to play with next :)
