Show Views when Editing Edittext in Landscape Mode?

I have been searching for a solution to this for a long time and would be very grateful for your help- I have an EditText with a TextView next to it, which shows line numbers.

Normally when editing an EditText in landscape mode only the EditText is displayed. Is it possible to display the TextView whilst the user is editing the EditText in landscape mode as well as the EditText? Thanks!
