CSS text resizing

I am not a expert and css is something that i am pretty bad at.

I got a image gallery page with 5-15 words details about each of picture. I am using ul/li along with div to put image and text into same box.

My problem is that I cannot increase size of boxes too much to fit all the text as some images are with text description of 3-5 words only.

Is there a way to re-size my fonts based on available space???

I am advised to use javascript so have added tag for that too.

In CSS, no. There's no provision for setting font sizes relative to an object. You'd need some JS to figure out which boxes are "under filled" and change font sizes dynamically. – Marc B Sep 06 '11 at 22:00

Why not just set the font size to the smallest of the lot? That way the site is uniform in style. – Michael Sep 06 '11 at 22:11
