I m trying to get ST_Distance_Sphere..but my MySQL version is 5.6..was told it can only run on 5.7.

Please any clue or alternative option to using on my current version?

    MySQL version 5.6 was released in 2013 and general support ended on February 2021. Isn't this a good reason to upgrade? 5.7 came out in 2015 and will be supported until October 2023. Version 8, from 2018, will last you longer than that. – KIKO Software May 29 '22 at 10:50
