I've been going through codes on here all day and I haven't been able to get any to work. I don't even care if it fades out, I just want the page to go completely blank if it has to when you click any link. This is so I can transition to the next page. When people are on my website and they click a link, it takes a while to get to the next page, so before the document starts loading I want the current page they're on to go blank so they know not to click anything else until the next page appears

So anything they click that takes them to a New Page, the current page they're on goes blank/fades, is there any way to do this, or any link you can send me to where I can find out how to do this specifically?

  • If page 2 takes a while to load, fading out page 1 won't help because page 2 won't start loading until page 1 is completely unloaded and all you'd be doing by adding this fade effect is delaying the start of page 2 loading. You might consider loading the second page's content inside the first page upon a click using AJAX or an `iframe`. – Scott Marcus May 21 '22 at 17:21
