You know how in the Steam engine, the games that have IDs like :// 'steam://rungameid/...' or http with that little '://' after it how do you get it for any file? Do you have to make a folder?

The question is not clear. The `steam` protocol and HTTP are two different beasts entirely, and I don't know this is related to any particular "file". Maybe you are looking for [how to register a protocol handler with Windows Search](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/search/-search-3x-wds-ph-install-registration) or [how to register a URL protocol in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT](https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previous-versions/windows/internet-explorer/ie-developer/platform-apis/aa767914(v=vs.85)?redirectedfrom=MSDN)? – CherryDT Apr 26 '22 at 22:28
