recently a study about garbage collection.

i just qurious about how to find actual memory address of java object for example applicationContext of Spring

ex)

  • young generation memory address 1 ~ 10,
  • old generation address 10 ~ 50
  • applicationContext located at memory address 25

  • you could look into Visual VM and gc add-on which will help visualize all that you mentioned. However, I don't think you would be able to find where exactly an Object belongs to. – Arun Gowda Apr 08 '22 at 07:12
