how to group by and split rows into multiple columns

Question

I have the following table:

index	name	inventory
0	Jack	90
1	Jack	75
2	Jack	14
3	Dan	110
4	Dan	82

and I need to convert it to the following format.

index	Jack	Dan
0	90	110
1	75	82
2	14
