Suppose there is some java based codebase. If there is some method (say xyz.java) of a class which is called by another class method, can we call xyz.java as API ? I have heard that everything is API thus function is also ?
Context of problem : My team members refer to everything as API (it seems to me even to functions/methods but maybe I am missing something). I feel dumb to ask directly to them.
