Splitting a string in Redshift to new entry

Question

working in Redshift/Tableau, I was wondering if there's a way to split a string into new entries split by commas. Current data:

user_id.          tags
1                 potato,tomato,apple
2                 apple,kiwi
3                 potato,kiwi

Desired output:

user_id.          tags 
1                 potato
1                 tomato
1                 apple
2                 apple
2                 kiwi
3                 potato
3                 kiwi
