I am really stuck with the font exception in downloading PDF report with JasperSoft in CENTOS 7.The exception I am getting is
n.s.jasperreports.engine.fonts.FontUtil : Font 'Arial' is not available to the JVM. For more details, see http://jasperreports.sourceforge.net/api/net/sf/jasperreports/engine/util/JRFontNotFoundException.html
There are similar questions asked before but none of the provided solutions worked for me. I have tried https://stackoverflow.com/a/18188807/17922159 but After using tar -zxvf msttcorefonts.tar.gz I am getting gzip: stdin: not in gzip format tar: Child returned status 1 tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now Although the installation was successful.
There are fonts present on my server in usr/share/fonts/msttcore but somehow, the JVM is not picking it up. The folder goes like:
I also tried to use <property name="net.sf.jasperreports.awt.ignore.missing.font" value="true"/> in Jasper jrxml file but still no use. I have tried changing font to SansSerif but then it throws the same error but says SansSerif is not available to the JVM.
