I hope somebody can help me. I built a Javafx application and deployed as a jar file. From console I can start it by java -jar App.jar and as well by javaw -jar App.jar commands. But when I want to start it by double click it does nothing. In the properties I changed that the jar file opens with javaw.

  • @FedericoklezCulloca That answer didn't work but this [link](https://stackoverflow.com/a/52960565/13410056) did work well – damics.mark Feb 24 '22 at 09:59
  • Great! If one of those answers helped you, you should consider accepting the duplicate as such. – Federico klez Culloca Feb 24 '22 at 10:13
  • @damics.mark - That's the same Question! It is assumed that the reader will read all of the answers in a duplinked question. – Stephen C Feb 24 '22 at 10:24
  • While that may have worked for you, the link suggests editing a registry key to point to an obsolete version of java installed on the machine so that your application can run. IMO, that is not a good runtime option for many users. Preferred would be a jlink zip image that includes the JRE runtime with your app, or a jpackage install. Further info on these preferred options can be found in the [packaging section of the javafx tag info](https://stackoverflow.com/tags/javafx/info). – jewelsea Feb 24 '22 at 12:31
