I have been having this issue lately where i'm writing code in javascript and in this code i need to have single quotes in certain parts but it automatically changes to double quotes when using prettier extension. I've tried changing these settings(see image below) but if i pick single quotes, all my double quotes gets automatically changed to single and vice-versa.

Al i Want is for when i use either single or double quote, they don't get automatically changed to the opposite.

Anyone can please give me a step by step on what to do?

  • prettier tends to be strict with things like that, I don't know if you can prevent it from enforcing consistency between single and double quotes – skara9 Jan 27 '22 at 22:38

You have the option to use copy and paste. In this case there is no requirement for double quotes I apologize for my poor English skills
