I have Conda installed in both my Mac and Linux desktops. However, when I open a new Mac Terminal, I have to run

source /Users/my_username/anaconda3/bin/activate

in order to have it switching to Conda base environment. I tried to edit the ~/.bashrc, but it doesn't have any effect. Would anyone have a solution to fix it?

  • Newer macs default to `zsh` shell in Terminal. Try running `/Users/my_username/anaconda3/bin/conda init zsh`, then restart shell. – merv Dec 15 '21 at 02:18
