I think I've probably missed a step in the installation, because you'd surely expect the example mod to work? I did:
- Download forge mdk zip from the forge website
- Extract files from zip
- In the folder with the extracted files, ran:
$ gradlew setupDecompWorkspace
$ gradlew --refresh-dependencies
$ gradlew build
$ gradlew runClient
The last command, as expected, launches minecraft with forge, but unexpectedly, crashes before reaching the title screen. Here's the full crash report:
