I recently need to switch from using SoundPlayer to MediaPlayer because of its API that allows to change volume of sound.
According to question SoundPlayer adjustable volume (there is suggested using MediaPlayer instead of SoundPlayer)
You'll also need to add references to the PresentationCore and WindowsBase assemblies.
This seems outdated, I am unable to find the references mentioned and it is essential since I can't do m_mediaPlayer.Open(new Uri(filename));
If you have any experience with MediaPlayer, I would appreciate your help.
