enter image description hereI recently did an OS update on my Mac and the usual zsh shell issues ensued when I reinstalled Anaconda. The normal fixes (e.g Zsh: Conda/Pip installs command not found) worked to update anaconda. However, Spyder seems to be completely broken as of this most recent MacOS Big Sur v11.5.1 update. The editor is not working (highlighting, scripting) and run features are not working either. Has anyone had issues with Spyder with the most recent MacOS Big Sur update?

  • The file you posted doesn't have the `.py` extension (in fact, it doesn't have any extension), so it can't be recognized by Spyder as a Python file. Hence, Spyder can't provide syntax highlighting nor run features for it. – Carlos Cordoba Aug 02 '21 at 14:53
