Why I can't use properly '${}' inside quotes(React Native)?

Question

Why I can't use the dollar sign and brackets(${}) inside quotes for example if I write:

const {latitude, longitude} = location.coords
alert('Latitude : ${latitude}, Longitude : ${longitude}')

It doesn't show for example: Alert Latitude : 38.8951, Longitude :-77.0364

But it shows like this: Alert Latitude : ${latitude}, Longitude : ${longitude}
