Is it possible to play a file with pygame if you were to import a file path?

I am doing a project which involves playing .mp3 files in python. I would like to know if the pygame module's mixer can play a file if i were to import a path into it instead of loading the file itself. if it can be done, perhaps could an example as to how it would look, as well as the output, be shown? any and all answers are appreciated
