I have a React app that I would like to get location data from the phone running it. At first, I thought I could get relative position data, (often referred to as INS or dead reckoning) by using the phone's acceleration sensor, however it is too noisy as described Here.
I can use GPS/GNSS data, but it also is far too inaccurate.
I know lidar mappers are able to know their position by what they have mapped, Is it possible to do the same with depth mapping using the camera? (link)
In this demo, it tracks items as they go off screen and back on, so I am assuming that the phone knows its position?
What is the best way you know of to get accurate positioning data from inside the browser??
