I was wondering if it's possible to make a splash screen that only works on the first visit to my website while also being able to load content and change URLs using AJAX. What I'm trying to achieve is something similar to what the Genshin Impact website does in its Home screen.
I only know the basics with HTML, Javascript and CSS and after some research on similar questions I came across this one for the splash screen that functions with a click, and another one to change the URL (I also checked multiple videos to load content using AJAX in the same HTML page), but I still don't know if there a suitable way to make both things work. I don't want the splash screen re-loading with every change of page/button clicked.
Currently I don't have any code, because I want to be open to any suggestions even if they're outside of AJAX/HTML or what I already researched.
