I'm working on a simple Android app for control a led rgb strip with an ESP controller by MQTT protocol (Paho library). I have developed all with success, but there is only one problem: in preference fragment I added a EditTextPreference for give the chance of modify the broker link but I don't know how to get and save the text written by user in EditTextPreference. I did a lot of research but never get the solution because of more of the topic are old and uses deprecate libraries. I hope someone can help me, thank you in advance.
My android studio is updated to the last version 4.2.2.
