I run *windows 10 64 bit OS.

I have successfully downloaded PyPy from the official website here

It is set up completely, but I wanted to install numpy and pandas as I needed it in my code. So I ran this code in command prompt but it gave an error:

I am doing this for the 5th time, and the same error pops. It says download Microsoft Visual C++ 14.1 I don't want to download the software as it is HUGE and my net is small.

why is this error? Please help

It seems that what you want to install has several dependencies that you do not have on your computer :

mkl_rt

blis

openblas

Also missing some compilers :

g77

f77

ifort

ifl

f90

DF

efl

gfortran

f95

g95

efort

efc

flang

(not sure all of those are compilers but must are)

Anyway, I donna Windows much but it seems there is not much things install on your computer or if there are there the command line of your installation does not know where to look for all this.. Maybe specifiy a absolut path in the commande line ?

  • And how am I supposed to download these on pypy? – The Emperor Aug 13 '20 at 02:25
  • Most of this should already be on your computer actually I think it's more a problem of path that has specific convention on windows and thus the installation can't find what it needs to install, go take a look here : https://stackoverflow.com/questions/61841401/problem-installing-numpy-for-pypy3-on-windows-10 – Thibault Cimic Aug 13 '20 at 09:07
  • Ohk. I'll try doing this from that link's question's answer. I'll tell you if any errors pop. – The Emperor Aug 14 '20 at 02:36
  • It says that it is not in libs folder (the error about which I asked the question). Is this the error? – The Emperor Aug 14 '20 at 02:37
  • I see a space between the "-m" and "pip" is the comment : ```pypy -m pip install numpy ``` I don't think it related but try anyway On the other post, they seems to say that on windows it's unevitable to have Visual Studio tools and that path problem could be due to non-english OS – Thibault Cimic Aug 14 '20 at 08:46
  • My computer isn't a non english OS and ```pypy3 -m pip install numpy``` is giving the same response – The Emperor Aug 15 '20 at 11:20
  • https://stackoverflow.com/a/44953739/9389040 This is solved here, can help you. – Akash Oct 16 '20 at 08:47
