How to develop an iphone app with reverb functionality ?

Hi Everybody,

I'm trying to apply reverb effect in an iPhone application, can anybody lead me in right direction in achieving this functionality. I'm newbie in iPhone and moreover Audio Technology, from past few days I'm going through Audio Units documentation, I'm thinking to use Audio Units for this along with a library BASS Audio library. Can anybody post some sample code to get started with this. Any help is greatly appreciated, please help me. Thanks in advance.

I don't know much about iPhone development, but from an audio point of view, reverb isn't exactly straightforward. You'll need to do a fourier transform of the sound to break it up into frequencies and then echo different frequencies at different times. Which frequencies at which times depends on how you want the reverb to sound. If you can find a pre-built package, I'd strongly recommend using that. – Nathan MacInnes Jan 20 '11 at 15:30
