I have set up a new local website on my D: drive, with path D:\inetpub. When I tried to copy files from my existing localhost on my C: drive to the D: drive, I get a message that I need administrator rights to access the files. I have tried this a number of ways but get the same message.

I have tried to follow instructions from Microsoft per this page:

https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa954062.aspx#Anchor_0

BUT -- I don't know what I'm doing about setting the host process identity, so that may be the problem. I have gone into Advanced Settings in IIS, to Application Pools, and clicked on the elipse to bring up a list. But I don't see anything on that list that I think I should select other than the default application pool (ie, there are no users identified on the list, and no way to add users). Don't I need to link the application pool to a user that has admin permissions? How do I do that?

I have set authentication to Anonymous on both sites. Both sites are using the default Application Pool, and I gave myself (my username) full permissions on both sites. (Administrator permissions are grayed out on both so I couldn't change those.) I am using Windows 10, and IIS 10.0.

Please let me know if you need any more information to offer suggestions. Thank you!

UPDATE: I have found my solution in two parts, part 1 here:

IIS7 Permissions Overview - ApplicationPoolIdentity

and part 2 here:

http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-failed-to-enumerate-objects-in-the-container

Implementing both of these sets of instructions seems to have resolved the problem.

Thanks.
