I am working on making an AI with my raspberry pi. And curently im trying to get it to answer question I ask it using google. So usually when you ask a question in google if it finds an answer it will make a white box appear above all the search results that has the answer to your question or an explanation. So using the requests library I am sending a request to google asking for the results page to my question. but when my program looks in the string for the html for the certain element it keeps saying its not there. Can anyone tell me why the html for that box is not showing up?

  • Have you checked that the source retrieved is accurate of what you want in the first place? – Sasha Apr 25 '17 at 16:15
  • @ProNinjaCat I am just doing a google search, so it is just giving me search results. what i need is the html for the white box that appears above the search results – sharpchain Apr 25 '17 at 16:20
  • I understand that, but I mean have you debugged your code when you hit google, that the box you want is actually in there? – Sasha Apr 25 '17 at 16:21
  • Its not there, that is the problem. But when i ask the same question in the google chrome, the white box shows up and html I am looking for is there as well. – sharpchain Apr 25 '17 at 16:23
